Collection: La Marmite

If you’re not living the cast iron life, well, you’re seriously missing out. We’d go so far as to say that a cast-iron skillet is one of the essential tools in your kitchen, capable of making steak, fish, veggies, pizza, and so much more. Foodies, of course, swear by the timeless cast iron skillet—and you should too.

Cast-iron skillets are made from molten metals (mostly iron, duh) with integrated handles so the skillet can be placed in an oven or a hot fire if you’re in ac camp. They also can inject a healthy dose of iron into your food (in a good way).

You’ll need to season whatever skillet you get with fat or oil, which helps protect it from rusting and provides a nonstick surface for cooking. Always wash them by hand.
